ASTARIS

This highlight property is from our third group of client, the commercial/industrial facility. Occupying several acres in south St. Louis, the Astaris plant supplies phosphates for use in things like beverages, pharmaceuticals, paints, and fire retardants.

Astaris is a supplier of phosphorus chemicals, phosphoric acid, and phosphate salts producing a complete line of phosphorus and derivative products in the industry.

Astaris is a 50/50 joint venture company owned by FMC Corporation and Solutia Inc. Astaris began operations as an independent company in April 2000. The company has operations in a dozen states and two foreign countries. Worldwide, Astaris employs approximately 550 people.

The Carondelet plant is located just off Carondelet Boulevard in south St. Louis while the company’s headquarters are in Creve Coeur. As you can see from the photos, Astaris executives understand the need to blend their facility with the neighborhoods that surround it.

In keeping with the company’s stated pledge to protect the environment, plant officials are very concerned with safety, as our work crews can attest. All of them must be verified to enter the facility and are required to wear hard hats and other protective gear while on site.

The facility is quite different from some of the previous properties we’ve featured here and demonstrates the broad range of customers we serve, each with their own unique needs and circumstances. Ideal Landscape Group is capable of handling any project, any property large or small.
