PROJECT SUMMARY:
This project consisted of various rock grade controls, toes,
and rock slopes to control erosion and water flow.
PROJECT SOLUTION:
Over 5,000 tons of D90 18-24" riprap were placed over 1 acre of
clearing and grubbing. Over 7370 plants, including many
native species of shrubs and trees, we planted on the site once
grade works was complete.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
The design here was different in that it uses step grade
control, or essentially a series of small water falls to
control moving water over a grade change. Gradual changes
in grade reduce the force of water flowing over one massive
height, creating backwash and severe bank erosion.
