Recently we’ve taken a
look at some of the properties under our care including a
high-profile apartment complex and a highly-visible retail
plaza. This month we’re looking at a different kind of
property, the spacious condominium complex in Creve Coeur known
as Field Pointe. The property spans 12 acres of lush land just
off Olive Boulevard. On site are 24 buildings comprising 124
residential units. This is Ideal’s third year as landscape
company of record for the property.
Together
with the residents of Field Pointe, Ideal works hard to
make the community a beautiful, enjoyable place to live.
Over the last few seasons the residents of Field Pointe,
through their resident board and management company, have
undertaken a blitz to improve the property through numerous new
plantings, a new front entrance sign, and countless other
enhancements to improve curb appeal.
Ideal has been a part of this landscape renovation in several
aspects. Our crews have been key in the rejuvenation of the
turf there. Through a comprehensive program of fertilizer and
weed applications the grass is among some of the most green and
lush of those we care for. Our laborers have also been involved
with many of the plantings, and our construction crews have
meticulously replaced nearly every unsightly, crumbling wooden
tie-wall on the property with longer-lasting stone retaining
walls.
As a bit of trivia, the back field area of the property was
once owned by Gerry Tucker, then a golf pro at Bel-Rive Country
Club. He used this area as a three hole pitch and putt area
(which explains the swales, hills, etc. This can be partially
seen in some of the photos below.) The residents of Field
Pointe understand the need for curb appeal, and they understand
that at Ideal curb appeal is our business.
