Hiring Policies

Each year we participate in a Department of Labor program called H-2B which allows the legal employment of non-resident aliens as seasonal labor. The paperwork and monitoring of H-2B is strict and demanding, and we take pride in our ongoing compliance.

Each of our non-resident workers must posses an identification form obtained through the U.S. Department of Justice called an I-9. Additionally, each immigrant employee must have a Form I-94 from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. Finally, all alien workers must obtain valid social security cards, helping to ensure the payment of federal income taxes while they are in the U.S.

Above and beyond our H-2B laborers, many of our crew foremen and field supervisors are lawful, permanent residents who live here year-round with their families.

Ideal Landscape Group has a zero-tolerance policy regarding non-compliance with any labor statute, most of all immigration policies and is proud of the workforce we have assembled.

The H-2B work visa was created to allow people to come to the United States temporarily, mainly for non-agricultural jobs where U.S. workers are in short supply. Up to 66,000 H-2B visas are issued every year.

Workers may qualify for an H-2B visa if they are coming to the United States to accept a temporary or seasonal non-agricultural job from an U.S. employer. With the correct background, skills, or natural abilities needed by the employer, anyone many apply. H-2B visas are aimed at skilled and unskilled workers. Note that H-2B are not to be confused with H-1B visa, which is intended for college-educated workers.
