A
property unlike any we’ve featured before is the HBA Citirama
at Gaslight Square. Most highlights we’ve profiled have been
ongoing, monthly maintenance contracts. However with Citirama
Ideal came onto the property for a limited time to provide
premium mowing, trimming and site care for the duration of an
event, demonstrating our versatility and willingness to take on
projects of varying scopes.
Citirama was conceived as
an exciting new city version of Homearama, St. Louis' premiere
housing event. A single-site showcase of homes was planned and
built in the Central West End area called Gaslight Square. The
full block area was being developed by Greg Vatterott and Jerry
King and included single family homes and townhouses
(approximately 70 units altogether). Nine builders completed
twelve units for the Citirama showcase.
As with past Homearama’s,
the homes featured the newest and finest products and services
available to the building and landscape industry. All units
were completely furnished and landscaped. St. Louis area
residents toured these homes to see the latest and most
innovative home designs and products.
In addition to working
around a public attendance schedule, on the first servicing
Ideal crews also had to work in and around dozens of other
contractors, such as interior finish workers, decorators, and
builders, all heading toward the finish line of opening day.
Later in the event our second servicing was put off multiple
times by rainy weather and damp conditions.
In all, the event which
lasted from October 8-24, 2004 was a big success for the Home
Builder’s Association and a demonstration of Ideal Landscape
Group’s ability to adapt to numerous types of clients and
situations.
